It is an exciting time for High River as we continue to grow as a community and strive to make the Town of High River a great place for our employees as we do for our residents. High River is a people first community on the Highwood River where we live, work, and play. As outlined in our corporate values, we are an organization that is respectful, ethical, transparent, and always acting in the best interests of the community.
We are seeking an experienced leader who can draw from their diverse background to lead the Emergency Management and Protective Services into the exciting future. You will be given the responsibility to strategically utilize your experience and expertise to shape a collaborative team of professionals in Emergency Management; RCMP Administration and Municipal Enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of the town we all love and call home. In addition, you will ensure all programs are in compliance with established policies, procedures, and legislation. Your passion will be demonstrated through your hunger to exceed status quo and your daringness to push boundaries into areas that have yet to be explored.
The right candidate will be a part of the movement of creating a High River who does things better by strategically applying your extensive training, education, and experience in Fire and/or Disaster Preparedness, Public Administration, Business Management or a related discipline. You will have a minimum of five years of direct experience in an area(s) within the position scope. The foundation has been laid to put Council’s endorsed strategic priorities into action with an innovative flare. If you dare to do something different, you are encouraged to show your interest by applying through the method below.
